Two wins to end hard times

Despite a challenging season, International Malmö showcased their resilience and quality with a dominant 6-1 victory over Kalkan Boys. However, with only two wins out of seven matches, the team faces the tough reality of relegation.

Kalkan Boys took an early lead, catching International Malmö off guard with a goal from Niklas Larsson. Yet, Malmö quickly regained their composure, with Oskar Kammerton equalizing and later scoring a second goal, showcasing his goal-scoring prowess.

Yahia K, a recent addition to the team, displayed remarkable calmness under pressure, netting Malmö’s second goal and setting the tone for the rest of the match. Hannes Högberg, with excellent support from Antonijo Ladan, added two more goals, while Amir Khalegi capped off the scoring with a sixth goal.

This victory comes in a season marred by injuries, player contract issues, and red cards, all of which have significantly impacted the team’s performance. Despite the clear quality displayed in matches like this, the unfortunate combination of setbacks has led to a situation where relegation to a lower division seems inevitable.

The integration of Kasim Sultani, Uke Bezera, and Yahia K has been a bright spot, with all three players impressing with their ability to adapt quickly and perform under pressure.

The partnership between Hannes Högberg and Antonijo Ladan was particularly effective, demonstrating that the team still has the potential to perform at a high level.

Rasmus Roos delivered a standout performance in goal, making crucial saves and contributing to the team’s defensive solidity. Marijo Fuzul played a crucial role in helping the new players integrate into the team, providing guidance and support on the pitch. Mathias Jensen and Khaled Hamtoi controlled the midfield, and they slotted in flawlessly and continued to manage the game effectively. Delgash Alyas as always, was consistent, providing reliable support and maintaining stability in defense.

And while relegation is a tough pill to swallow, International Malmö is confident that they will bounce back. With the team’s quality and spirit, they are determined to dominate the lower division next season and make a swift return to the higher tier. The experience gained this season, despite the difficulties, will only make them stronger and more prepared for the challenges ahead.

International Malmö has shown that, even in adversity, they can deliver exceptional performances. With a focus on recovery, rebuilding, and the undeniable talent within the squad, they are poised to reclaim their position at the top. Winning the lower division is not just a goal; it’s a certainty.
